I'm on broadband and basic tv package with VM - I have disconnected from VM box and connected eurovox. Is it possible for VM to detect I'm not connected to their box? Should I get a splitter and connect to VM to avoid any problems. Thanks for your help.
You need a splitter so your VM box can except updates, etc. The Eurovox has no talkback for obvious reasons and cannot be "seen".
Thanks - Scouser From your reply am I right in assumming I should reconnect my VM box in order to get updates (even I use this to watch anything). Presumbly, if the VM box wasn't connected V****N M****A would be able detect no VM box connected and think there was problem. I understand your point of them not being able to detect the Eurovox. Finally can you recommed any splitters if it is essential to connect my VM box aswell. Many thanks for your time scouse.
Scouser, Thank for sending the link through - One other thing in respect of the cables for the output - will I need to make my own or can i buy these at maplins as well (which connectors will these need to have?). Thanks once again for your time.
In that case heres a list to pick and choose from dependent upon set up http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ITAG=POP&ModuleNo=219428&doy=30m9#popular
Scouser, Sorry for the confusion - cueboy is right I do mean cables from splitter to the VM box and the eurovox many thanks,
If your not sure which bits you need off the list sc0user gave you, you might want to try this kit which is all you will need. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-Way-Cable-T...oryZ4693QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
If of use to anyone 99p shop has 5 metres of cable with an Fplug on each end plus a Fconnector joiner ...all for the princely sum of 99p.
hi read the posts above and someone suggesting that you should keep your original vrn mda box attached so they cant detect its not attached is that true?
