I copied one of my movies onto a CR-RW disk into VCD format. My DVD does play VCD as it says so on the front of the DVD player. But when i put it in i says the disk is dirty?? This is really annoying me as i really don't know what to do now. Can someone please tell me whats going on. thanks.

A lot of stand-alones used to say they were able to play VCD's but those were the pressed ones. However, it's been well documented that some of them couldn't play CD-R/RW's.

I'm assuming your stand-alone is at least a few years old? Head over to dvdrhelp.com and they have a compatibility list of a lot of stand-alones.
