VCD to DVD help needed

I'm not sure if this is possible, so any help is gratefully recieved. I've also checked the guides section and can't find one, so if i missed one just link me instead of replying.

I was given a copy of '8 Mile' a couple of years back and it's on 2 seperate discs, in VCD format. Is it possible to switch it to DVD format and burn onto one disc? If so, advise on how to would be excellent.
