Anyone use a Verizon USB modem? I just built a new computer for my mom, and I can't get the USB modem to get signal now for some reason. Right when you turn it on, or plug it in, it gets 2-4 bars, then suddenly drops to nothing and never comes back. When it's plugged into the old computer, sitting in the identical spot, it will get the 2-4 bars, but they remain and you're able to browse the interwebs.

I've tried adding a firewall exception, AVG exception, etc... The only idea I have left is to get a USB cable extension and put the modem 5 foot or so from the tower thinking that the tower somehow is creating interferrence with the signal?
