I haven't been able to figure this one out or find any solid documentation on the issue.. and it obviously must be something simple I'm overlooking so I'll go ahead and try my luck here..

Is there a specific directory one must run "vifpset.bat" from when attempting to install the codec?

I keep getting a "bad command or filename" error.

Thanks in advance, it's always the simple things that are messed up. haha.

You need to extract the whole package into one dir and then run the .bat from that dir.

Odd, I redownloaded it.. deleted and reextracted the files.

    Ran vifset.bat and got

    "run32dll.exe advpack.dll,LauchINFSection vifp.inf,DefaultInstall

    Bad command or filename"

Your Windoze path might be somewhat incorrect -- your system doesn't find run32dll.exe. Use Win's search to locate that .exe from your HDD -- it should be there -- and add it's path or simply copy it to the same dir where you extracted the vfapi stuff.

Stupid windows, thanks... as I said, it was something simple I was overlooking. Grabbed a copy of the file and threw it in the unzipped directory. Everything's running smoothly (so far) and I've got my fingers crossed. I appreciate the help
