I am trying to convert some old VHS tapes into DVD. I have SONY'S DIGITAL CAMERA (camera does not have pass through capability) so I first use this camcorder to record VHS tapes into mini DV tapes using Camera's Record function. Then using IEEE 1394 on my camera, I transfer these mini DV tapes to PC and then I burn DVD.

In this process, my AUDIO is garbled. I have tried a number of DVD authoring programs and they all have same problem. So I think the issue may be when I record VHS tapes on to mini DV using my camera.

    any thoughts? pl help thanks

out of curiosity, how does your audio sound when you playback through the camera?
