I have a Philips DVD stand alone recorder. I have it hooked up to a vhs recorder. I have old vhs movies that I want to put onto DVD but some give me a copyright error when I hit the record button on my DVD recorder. Is there a way around this? I tried putting tape over the hole on the bottom (the one that allows you to record if even & not if punched out) but that didn't work. Any ideas?

Some commercial movie tapes have Macrovision protection.
The video has to be passed through a 'Stabilizer' to remove it.
I use the older version in the link, it works good.
