    Hi Gurus,

I have an HP pavillion (550MHz - Pentium 3 - 150 G, 784 MB RAM). I am looking for a Card to be installed to my maching so that I could transfer my old VHS cassettes. I have 2 questions about this

    1. Is my old machine is sufficient enough to do this conversion.
    2. What type of cards I have to look for?

    Thanks for any help

it will do it, but it will be slow, if you're encoding at
    720x480.
not that it matters capturing at that resolution.
, cause vhs res is half of that.

dedicated capture cards are too expensive to me.
so i would get a vivo video card and use lossless codec.
do try how fast your machine can encode with lossless first. if its above 30fps then you're safe.
