Could inadequate power from mu power supply to my video card cause it to not play PC games smoothly? (i.e. artifacts in polys and big walls of colors etc.)...

i have a 400W Antec PSU, and it ran my 9800 Pro just fine. but after that died...i tried a x1650, and now an nVidia 7600 GS, and both are giving me those crap graphic displays...(The Nvidia does run better than the x1650 though)...any thoughts as to why?

very well could be a PSU problem. I personally have only used one graphics card (7600GT) and it runs all my games smooth as butter. But i also have a 620W PSU. Either that or something else in your system is conflicting with the card.

This 7600 GS runs better than the 1650 did.

I also have a DVDR drive, a CDR drive, 1 SATA HDD (master), and an ATA HDD (slave)....running a 2.8P4 with a p4s800D Asus Mobo...

and only now my games run funny...i mean playable...but not perfect....

    this frustrates me

    hehe......thanks though!
