Hello, I bought a Geforce MX4000 128mb card for my comp. At first install it was working fine till I changed the resolution. Now when windows starts up, the screen stays black. To use the comp, I had to revert to my old video card, does anyone know how to fix this. Safe Mode seems to work with it, but starting up windows normally doesn't. Thank You.

Sounds like you have exceeded the max resolution for your monitor as in safe mode this runs in vga without the drivers for your video card loaded.

Plug in your geforce (make sure it is firmly located), startup in safe mode and uninstall the card/adapter etc in device manager.
Shutdown and reboot, then reinstall the drivers/adapter etc again.

This should return it to the adapters default settings.

    Hope this helps.

what is the working resolution & what resolution were you trying to go to?? another way in safe mode to change the resolution back to default is do a right click on desktop, properties, settings, click ok as screen as at 16 colors & 640x480 & restart windows
