    Hi all

I tried a GeForce 4 Ti4200-8x 128MB 128 bit AGP vidio card with Nvidia 61.77 driver and it caused my pc to lock up every time I tried to open dvd shrink. Can anyone suggest or recommend a low to mid priced vidio card ($30-$70) that will work with shrink? Thanks.

I have never heard of Shrink not working because of a video card.Shrink works on my oldest and newest machines.
    Sounds like a IRQ problem.
Have you tried uninstalling both card and program.
I think any 30 or 40 dollar card would work....

It was actually the driver that caused the problem. Shrink would open again after I deleted the driver. Aparently shrink won't work with Nvidia drivers. How do I check directx?

go to start run type dxdiag enter & the program will run & tell you what version in the middle towards bottom of screen. you'll have between version 6.1 to 8.1 more likely. the latest version is 9.0c from microsoft. free download
