I see no reason to spend more than maybe $160-$180 on a case. Beyond that point it's just Lian-Li bragging rights above all else. You get very little extra for your money beyond that point.

Ok, fair enough. (Who is Lian-li?) Should it be a full tower?

Not necessarily. The NZXT Tempest isn't a full tower and that can cool any system. Lian-Li are a good, but incredibly overpriced case manufacturer.

Oh yeah, you talked about that before. I followed your other link. Do you happen to have a newegg link to that case, Sam?

Thanks for the link sam - as soon as I asked I thought - "Hey how lazy - I can find it on newegg myself" - but this way I know it's the exact case you were talking about - looks really nice!!

You have talked about the case before. Out of curiousity - what are the essential main things that you like about it, since I am a case newbie?

It's well made, reasonably priced, well cooled, quiet and looks nice...

Yeah, it looks great. I see it has a side exhaust fan like I installed in the case I have now.

However, one thing that is missing, that my cheap ass case has, is a fresh-air inlet for the cpu. When I added the sunbeam kit with the hose, my hot running 3.2 p4 cpu gets air only through that filtered side inlet, and no matter how hot the inside of the case gets, no affect on the cpu.

Do you consider that not as important with cooler core 2 duo - add water cooling or an HSI cpu cooler with fan, and no worries?

Sorry, I don't understand. It has two front fans...

    Hold on Sam.

    *searching* (like dinc lol)

    Ok, found it:

I'm talking about that part, item #2, the little inlet for the cpu fresh air in. I have found it very easy to run a hose in the Sunbeam kit to that inlet #2, and I can easily pop the hose off when I take the side panel off. Sunbeam provided two hose mounts for slightly different square fan sizes, maybe 83 and 90 mm, which on the square side happen to fit well into each other, for quick snap together or unsnap - I don't think they planned it that way - I just played with it and I saw that I could do it that way :) So when I take the side panel off - I have a note inside reminding me to unsnap the square parts from each other. (I'm so proud of myself lol)

You say the nzxt tempest has two front fans, and I know the sunbeam kit allows running a hose a couple of feet if necessary. In fact in the instructions, or maybe on-line, I think I saw some pictures of guys running the hose from the cpu cooler around to the front to draw in fresh air. So would you do something like that - or do you feel it's no longer necessary with cooler running stuff?

It's not really cooler running parts, it's more powerful cooling in other places. Using 120mm fans everywhere, and 140mm fans at the top, very few areas aren't covered.

I just read a couple of reviews - 6 fans - a big 140mm at the top. That sounds really good. Is this your case?

I think your Lexa is prettier. Plus, 3 temperature readouts. The carrying case I wouldn't use, but I see how it would be convenient for your LAN parties. Fewer fans, 80mm on top instead of 140mm on the Tempest. Psu location back top, instead of back bottom for tempest - that's the newer thinking, right - put the psu on the bottom? The new one is $20 bucks less than yours. Do they have anything as pretty as yours but with the new architecture for under $150?

harvrdguy, Cricket is the second most popular sport in the world(right after stupid football), so yeah "we still do that".

Here is a video of Shane Warne bowling. The English HATE him. I heard they had parties all over after he retired lol!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not starting an anti-football debate, I can see why people like it, but for me, I'm just not interested. I like to think people are allowed to be different in this world...
