Video cutter or splitter software

    I have a video that is too large to convert into DVD format. Hence, I need to cut it into two parts so that I could have better quality even know I need two 4.7GB DVD to store it. My question is whether there is any good video cutter to cut it. Something that is free or unexpensive.

    If it is MPEG2 already then Cuttermaran works nicely. For AVI files VirtualDub is very good and both are free.
