Video Program

I need a simple freeware app to combine and add music to a few clips that I've taken with my cannon digital camera. It doesn't need to be fancy or anything I just need to add music and combine different clips

 

what format are your movies

 

When I click properties it only says video clip.

 

download and run gspot it will identify your file type

 

Under stream type and A/V interlace it says the type is AVI. I assume this is what your asking?

virtualdub mod will combine all ur avi files just fine

 

Will I also be able to add music?

 

yes but using virtual dub you will need to convert mp3s to wavs I'm not sure about the mod version

 

in the interest of keeping things simple is there another way?

 

nero vision if it came with your burner other than that freeware is limited in whats available

 

I don't have nero. I've tried using Windows Movie maker but it crashes everytime I start to import files. There must be something out there.

At this point in time i'm not serious about video editing. If I was I'd get Adobe Premire or something like that but for now I just want to combine a few short snowboarding clips together and throw some music in.
