I'm looking for a media center software (ie MCE, MediaPortal) that is able to stream videos from a PC other than the one being used. I would just use VLC but I want something that is navigable by remote. So I have one PC with all the videos on it, and another HTPC by the TV. I want to easily stream the videos from the first PC to the HTPC. Any help would be appreciated.
I would imagine most Media center software would do this. for example I use MCE2005. On the first PC share the folder with the vides. On the second PC map a drive letter to that share. (thus PC2 has same access to videos as PC1) - Just tell the media center software what drive to look at for videos. Seems the simplest way to me.. cheers Joe.
