Having just made a home slide show using Studio 8 software we have an AVI file which we have recorded onto DVD+RW disc. We want to watch this DVD via TV however it won't let us. It seems to only be viewable via windows media. Is there anything we can do to be able to view it on TV.

Think you may have to convert the avi to a dvd compliant format e.g. VOB, MPEG2

How easy is this to do as I am a complete novice at this. Do I need a special software or do I need to recreate my video using a VOB file. If I have to recreate my video using a VOB file can you recommend any software that is downlaodable and preferably free.
    THanks for your help
