What is the easiest, and most inexpensive, way to convert vinyl records to compact discs? I have a lot of records which have never been released in cd format, yet I am unable to enjoy them in my car. Any ideas?

If you have a sound card with "Line In" then you can use Audacity to record to your Harddrive. Then Edit the files to take out scratches & pops. You'll need to have a line from your receiver to an adapter(RCA jacks to mini-jack) to sound card. Audacity is free.
