Yes I need some help or links that can help me with this problem... I'm trying to merge 2 avi files together with virtualdub, but when I try to append the avi segment I get this error "Cannot append this file_________the sudio streams do not share a common sampling rate" I have looked around for some guides on how to strip the audio and such, but they have been very difficult to follow. If any one could help me with this problem it would be great...thank you!!
The problem is that the audio in the AVIs were encoded MP3 VBR instead of MP3 CBR. This usually causes A/V un-sync due to the AVI -> MPEG process, but it also prevents VirtualDub's from joining two of them. In the FAQ-Read this first ( http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/196299 ) there is an answer...read it.
Alright I actually figured out how to append these files, but now when I converted the Avi to mpeg the audio lags behind the picture! Geez, this stuff is pretty hard to do!
I just changed the FAQ's page (the link worked only for me, because the pages were hidden. Now I've found the problem!). Ah, the audio lag is due to a MP3 VBR use. f you manage to create two AVI with MP3 CBR as I explained, all will turn well. Can you check if the links work now, please? Ah, if they dont, the page to read is: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/309635
Yeah it works now!! The funny part is that was the link I was looking for. I found it before and accidently closed the page! Thanks for the help..
