VLC MEDIA PLAYER

    please forgive me im rubbish with all this stuff..
    down loaded VLC media player so i could watch down loaded films.no problem that works fine ...
    before vlc installed. when i just wanted to watch a clip i would click on the windows media player icon say a trailer for a film it would open in media player and play ..

    now the windows media files do not seem to open anymore and so cannot watch these clips ..any tips please

    When you try to open them do u get any error messages??

    In that case do you get any webpages coming up on your web browser??

    thanks borhan9 for replying i seem to have found the cause i went into programs and into the settings on media player and then file types and re ticked avi files and now they work,i guess when i down loaded the alc player it over rided the media player i dont now why they would nt play on the alc player if that was the case though

    hi i have a VLC Media Player this is my first time using this media player, okay this is the problem i have some movies that i would like to watch but i try to play them on VLC Media Player but they wont play like i have sound and everything just the video wont come up

    You may need to download a video codec pack that can help you play the videos. Go to the software section and find a good codec pack.
