    Hi there,

You are right, the older version will/might run faster, because it has no watermark.

VSO just told me, they will release a new build soon, that will allow users to run v2.00 for 1 week in demo, without the matermark.

Then you can really get the feel of v2.00

    v2.00 improvements:

so keep your eyes open, you just might enjoy v2.00 as I do !

jus wonderin, if u add 2 different video files to be converted to DVD and u burn them to the DVD, is there any sort of simple menu created so u can choose which video file to watch?

its slower then the old,and the quality hasnt improved as such.even though you have to pay for it
it has a burn engine, which is useful though

The new free trial version is enough to put you of DIVX as it takes twice as long to convert as the old 5.2.99

    Hi there,

The reason why the Release Candidate is slower than the freeware one, is because it inserts a watermark on your output (Demo Mode).

When purchased, it's as fast if not faster than the old freeware one.

Here's what changed since the freeware version:

If you are pleased with the freeware version, feel free to use it.
I had a few videos that didn't work with the freeware version, that are now fixed in the Shareware one.

    Hi again,

If the quality is no different, that means they did a hell of a good job on the preview freeware version :)

I know I was told they did lots of tweaking for the sound to be in sync, maybe this is why it's slower from the Freeware version ?

I usually start the conversion and leave it, so I'm not too concerned on the speed. As long as it's viewable I'm happy.

When a movie is pretty good and I want the quality, I drive down to WalMart and buy the DVD <evil grin>...

I'm quite happy with it, let's me watch my AVI on my DVD player, in a few clicks, so I can't complain !
