This is a Trojan-Downloader.Zlob.Media-Codec which should have been removed by smitfraudfix,so which one of those scans did you run first.

Please do an online scan with (Kaspersky Online Scanner). You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
    http://www.kaspersky.com/kos/english/kavwebscan.html
    * The program will launch and then start to download the latest definition files.
    * Once the scanner is installed and the definitions downloaded, click Next.
    * Now click on Scan Settings
    * In the scan settings make sure that the following are selected:

o Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:

+ Extended (If available otherwise Standard)

    o Scan Options:

    + Scan Archives
    + Scan Mail Bases

    * Click OK
    * Now under select a target to scan select My Computer
    * The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run. Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
    * Now click on the Save as Text button
    * Save the file to your desktop.
    * Copy and paste that information in your next post.

    Ok

    disable system restore point

    IMPORTANT NOTES:

    * You must be logged in as an Administrator to do this. If you are not logged in as an Administrator, the System Restore tab will not be displayed.
    * Turning off System Restore will clear out all previous restore points.

To turn off Windows XP System Restore:

NOTE: These instructions assume that you are using the default Windows XP Start Menu and have not changed to the Classic Start menu. To re-enable the default menu, right-click Start, click Properties, click Start menu (not Classic) and then click OK.

    1. Click Start.
    2. Right-click the My Computer icon, and then click Properties.
    3. Click the System Restore tab.
    4. Check "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives"
    5. Click Apply.
    6. When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click Yes to do this.
    7. Click OK.

    Download
    http://free.grisoft.com/softw/70free/setup/avgas-setup-7.5.0.50.exe

    sdfix
    http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/RemovalTools/SDFix.exe
Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.
Double click SDFix.exe and choose Install to extract it to its own folder on the Desktop.
    We'll need it later

    #reboot to safe mode
tap the "F8 key" continuously until you get the startup menu.
Navagate to were it says safe mode hit enter

    # install avg

    # update

    # run full system scan

    # delete all found

    now for sdfix

    * Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
    * Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
    * It will remove any Trojan Services or Registry Entries found then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
    * Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
    * ALLOW the computer to reboot back to Normal Windows
    * When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
    * Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt.
    post log from sdfix

    run smitfraudfix again

    reboot into normal mode

do another online scan and post log
    http://www.kaspersky.com/kos/english/kavwebscan.html

    goto C:\Program Files\Video ActiveX Access
    and delete these
    iesbpl.dll

    Hi Blake,

The computer seems fine now ... let me know if you need any other scans etc. I wish I could buy you lunch! It's the least I can do.

By the way, where did you get the knowledge to intrepret the logs these utilities create?

@Konzen11 - You have a similar problem but it's not exactly the same as the W32. It's called MalwareWiped, also known as MalwareWipe -- Pest Trap -- Spy Heal-- BraveSentry.

Download another SmitFraudFix (there is a point to this, it is different). Save it onto your desktop, but don't run it yet. Just make sure you know where it is. Print out all the directions after this paragraph, or copy them onto a piece of paper because SmitFraudFix will require you to close open windows.

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode by doing the following:

    1. Restart your computer

    2. After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.

    3. Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear

    4. Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

    5. When you are at the logon prompt, log in as the same user which you had done the previous steps.

After logging in, click on SmitFraudFix.exe. You will see a blue command prompt window saying something like "Joedanger is NOT involved with SmitFraudFix in any way!" and a bunch of stuff after. Just press any key to continue.

You will now see the options. Press the number "2" and press "enter" to start the cleaning process. It will go through a series of processes, and bring up the Disk Cleanup Wizard. Let it run; it may take a while.

When this is done, you will have an option to clean the registry. Press "y", and it will. You will now have a screen saying Computer will reboot now. Close all applications.. Press the spacebar, and let it reboot.

Open HijackThis and do a scan only. Place a check beside the following item:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MalwareWiped 6.2] "C:\Program Files\MW\MalwareWiped 6.2\MalwareWiped 6.2.exe" /h

    Click "Fix Checked".

Now, minimize all windows or press Show Desktop. Press F3 while at the Desktop; the Search Companion should come up. Under "All or part of the file name", type MW. (no period) Under "Look in", click on it; there will be a dropdown menu. Select "Local Disk (C:). Let it search, and you will have a folder called MW that is in C:\Program Files. Right-click on that folder and press "Delete". Ignore all the warnings and press "Yes".

    Empty your recycle bin.

Your computer should now be clean. Post another HijackThis log.

    Hi, Fredil.
Thanx for the reply. I've followed the instructions that you posted but there is problem when i run SmitFraudFix.exe. After i press "Y" and "enter", there is no sreen appear saying "Computer will reboot now". But i still close all the applications and then press "Spacebar" just like what you told me. But nothing happen, so i manually reboot my computer. Is it ok?

As for the HijackThis, after i scanned, checked and clicked "Fix checked", I search for the file. but when i type "MW." i can't find the file in the C:program Files. However there are a lot of other file with "MW" in it (if i type MW ). E.g of the file:MW770 in C:\WINDOWS\System32... So, how?

Btw, when i clicked IE icon on my desktop (cuz i want send you my log result), my homepage didn't appear instead the website regarding securityalert pop ups. So, i was wondering whether i hv any other hidden virus in my pc system.

Anyway, these are the logs both for SmitfrudFix and HijackThis. Please let me know what is actually the problem A.S.A.P. Thanx!

    Let's see...

Manual reboot shouldn't be a problem.

Open My Computer. Go to the C drive. Double-click on Program Files. There should be a folder called MW. If there isn't....

This should explain quite nicely. Enable hidden files and look for the folder called MW again.

Next, as it is likely that the virus isn't just sitting there, download Unlocker. Install it. Now, right-click the folder called MW and select "Unlocker". A bunch of things should come up with buttons at the bottom; close all windows except the folder "MW". Click on the first entry and hold down Shift. Click the last item in the list. At the bottom, click the "Kill Process" button. Your taskbar (the bar with the Start Menu) may disappear briefly.

Now, try to delete the folder normally. If you cannot, Unlocker will pop up. It will either say that there are processes using files in the folder, or that no unlocking handle was found. If there are processes, just repeat the above method. If there aren't, select "Delete" in the drop-down menu on the left. If the object cannot be deleted, Unlocker will ask permission to delete it on reboot. Accept.

Restart your computer and post another HijackThis log.
