    You will need to insert a non accepted sim into the phone. It will show "phone restricted", press undo and you will be given a code restriction box. Enter this code and press enter or OK.

    Worked the first time!!! I believe Nokia 3220 from T-MOBILE is RH-49
    I had to look for a sim card that is not T-mobile. (Will not work even if you have the old 3-4 yr old VOICESTREAM sim card ). Good thing i kept my Globe (Asia) sim card and everything went well!

    i also need help unlocking a nokia 3220b rh-49 originally from tmobile. unlocking it to cingular.

    ime# 356660009623514

    should i have the cingular sim card in when i enter the unlock code?

    edit add: i got mine unlocked.

    use the unlock.nokiafree.org calculator

    put in your IME
    choose the network your phone is locked to
    for phone type (model) choose ASIC 2
    for GEN choose ASIC 6

    then i used code #7. it worked!!


    the only question ihave now is how do i get all this t-mobile stuff off? and i cannot send or receive multimedia messages. text messages work fine.

    thanks for all the help and suggestions here! it helped me tremendously

    I hate to be a pain, but if someone could help me with the codes for my phone I would be most grateful. My phone is a Nokia 3220b and my IMEI # is 356660009379810 and it was T-Mobile in the U.S. I am going to be using it on Cingular.
