Howdy ,new to this very cool forum.

I want to build a new pC with a SERVER moBo.

The Board isa Giga BYTE 81PXDREL-GG dual Xeon CPU, 400mhx Front side bus

Has a Intel e7501 chipset ,EATX form factor Intel 82546eb ethernet.
    ATI Rage 8mb XL graphics(integrated).

    Only (1) !!! pci slot 4 USB

six dimm slots ,takes up to 12gig of ram, i believe.

would I be encountering any Bottle necks with this Board asa potential Video Ripping /converting Machine<dvd,s, cd,s> or am I just gonna spin my wheels too fast nowhere??

    adios , zincMINE

Well, you certainly don't see many builds like these..
Personally, if you're going to build a PC mainly for video conversion, you may as well build a normal powerful desktop for that purpose. Unless you've been given this motherboard, or have it already, it'd probably be simpler to use more conventional equipment. The only search result for that board or anything like it is this post...

Hmm ,yeah ,I can get unconventional Hardware Cheap at times,

I figure a DUAL 2.4 Xeon server system withat least 2 gig of Ram ( registered RAm though ) would be more pwerfull than my old Coppermine 1.26 socket 370 sysytem .

Yeah ,go with desktop stuff does sound right , get with the Tymes ,ehhh??

    adios ,zincmine

Well a dual xeon system will be ruddy fast, but using standard desktop equipment helps from a familiarity and support view... Not to mention simpler and cheaper upgrades.
