finally made my first dvd out of a avi file works great too!,but what i want to know is it made a wav file from the audio portion of the movie,i burnt it and sounds ok,but can i convert the wav to ac3 for better sound? thanx
I don't think that converting to AC3 would necessarily improve your sound quality, since it would be yet another re-encoding to a lower bitrate. However, it would save a LOT of space on the DVD-R, allowing you to boost the bitrate of your video. Sonic ReelDVD does the conversion in a snap. The freeware BeSweet-based AC3 Machine is another option. Good luck...
