My computer suddenly stopped playing audio.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the audio drivers, checked all wiring and even ran a system restore.Nothing seems to work.Has anyone expirienced this problem? The message I get is Wave out format not supported.
I tried the speakers on another computer and they worked fine.

Am guessing you are on Windows XP -you did a System Restore-

Go to Control Panel -->Admistrative Tools -->SERVICES
On Right side, scroll to almost the very bottom and Find [bold]Windows Audio [/bold] -- it has to be set to [bold]AUTOMATIC [/bold] and the status should be [bold] Started [/bold] --- On Left side you can click the [bold]Restart Service[/bold] button.
