At my school I can get to afterdawn no problem but stuff like e-mail and video games is very hard. But I know some game sites that work.
I can get aD with no problem. But as far as games, and any p2p apps...forget it, not going to happen!
Damn! Well we are not allowed to download anything because we are on a VERY secure network. I work at a brokerage firm that sells stocks and all that and we have real time systems linked to the NYSE, NASDAQ, and all the others. I wish I could some apps to work at....um, work *lol*, but unfortunately, all I can do is surf the web, and chill on aD all day.
Damn. Probably did regular port scans. Do you use like the computer lab to do all your work, surf, and everything else, or do you have your own in your college room?
Ah! Well that's good. But yeah, on a schools computer, I am not surprised that they took all that stuff off. I know when I was in school, I worked in the computer lab, and saw alot of people downloading and using instant messenger programs. Not that I cared, but it was something that we had to delete because it wasn't allowed.
I download everything on my own computer and no were else. I also reformat my harddrive at least once a month.
How come you reformat your HD once a month? Better performance? Or just want to start with a clean slate?
just the fact that if someone knocks on my door I will have gotten rid of my music downloads and movie download records.
Ah...gotcha. I keep all my DVD's in a locked case. Not that it matter, but I don't do a whole lot of downloading and pretty much, clear up my shared folder once I am done looking for what I am looking for. But, that's a smart move.
I gotcha...very smart move. That is why I kinda stopped downloading, I didn't see much of a reason till I got my Netflix account and then it is easier. But it is not like I am getting new released movies, just the ones that I really like and one that I can't find.
Yeah, I do music, audiobooks, and .pdf manuals. I am picky about the music and only download what I am looking for, or old stuff that I remember listening too, and as far as dvd's, my collection is ever growing! Other than that I don't use p2p apps much.
Well, it all depends on where you go really. Because some places are ALOT more expensive than others. Like the ones I have, cost like almost $50 from Staples, but then Circuit City, which is like next door, sells them for like $30 bucks, and it is 50 of them.
