Well I suppose a webcam is hardware.

I have had my webcam for a while and it had no problems, but when I purchased a new laptop and tried to install again I realised that I didn't have the disc. So I downloaded and installed a driver.

When I signed into msn I saw the little camera icon saying that I have a webcam, but when I send my webcam and they accept, all they see is a black screen.

    Am I screwed?

    help me out please

    Regards,

You might not be screwed, try and find a different driver, or ask the support of the company you bought the webcam from to send you a replacement disc.

Okay thank you for the reply. Will look for a driver in the near future.
