Several of my video files were corrupted at the exact same time for some unknown reason. The file properties say "O bytes", but the weird thing is if I click any of the files, I can see the first frame of the video on the left-hand tool-bar. (I'm using XP). I don't want to start from scratch again...does anyone have any ideas about fixing the files?

    ?

Never heard of such a problem...

Have you installed anything in your computer prior to the problem with the avis?

Are you able to play the files?

I would suggest DivFix and AviFixed (make bacups first) but then i realize that the filesize is zero. This means your files are GONE. What you can try to check is for harddisk recovery tools (i.e., Norton and the lot). Just because the first frame is shown means nothing, the first frame is ALWAYS shown.
