i dont know if its a phobia, but i hate feet. any feet. the only good feet are ones with shoes on them so i cant see them. yuk! i have to wash mine but its a struggle everytime...
funnily enough - no - the munchkins never bothered me as a kid - might be because they weren't portrayed as evil - i don't know - guess i'm just weird eh? lol
I didn't see it either, and I looked for it like 5 times. But everyone says it's true. My mom says he was just on a ladder changing a light bulb behind a sheet (that's how they did the background back then).
I agree fully with haimback. Cotton wool. ugh. I hates the texture. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. Also, for at some point when I was doing something (Can't remember what exactly) I discovered that I also can't stand the feeling of... And I know this is gonna sound crazy. Can't stand the feeling of having a piece of folded cloth between my teeth(Top & bottom). Also hate the feeling of tissues. I'm fine with snakes, spiders, blood, clowns & stuff, but the previously mentioned things get me everytime.
lots of people say they can't chew on tinfoil. I really don't see the point of doing so and have never tried it, but I can't see what's so scary about it, other than maybe scraping your gums.
I can relate to having a cloth between your teeth - makes me gag and wanna puke. Even seeing babies sucking on the corner of a blanket - gagging at the thought. Worse when you go to the dentist and they have to do an xray and put that plastic thing with gauze around it in your mouth and tell you to bite on it - main reason why I hate dentists...
I think I read something about when you chew it the acidity of your saliva reacts with the older style metallic fillings causing electrical activity. That just makes me wonder who/why someone discovered this. Since we're talking about phobias I hate having my hands covered in powder. Like working with flour, or mixing quick-crete or drywall mud. It makes me bonkers, like I want to smash something if I don't get it off my hands. I'm perfectly fine with grease and dirt and all that. It's only when both my hands are completely covered in it. I'm not even sure this is a valid phobia, but I guess you could say it's my "oompa-loompa".
I have a pretty strong stomach, but one thing that gets me is any kind of surgery or doctors doing something with someone's eyeball. I could watch brain surgery or a woman giving birth or a heart transplant, but once they start messing with eyeballs I get queasy. I've never seen any of this in real life, just on the learning channel and stuff like that. As far as the tinfoil chewing, I first saw it on that Baseketball movie. That's kinda interesting about the electrical reaction, I guess if you didn't have fillings in your mouth it'd be ok.
There was a story on the telly one day about a guy, who, after a fly flew into his eye. He got the fly out but not before it had laid an egg. Eventually he went to see an eye specialist who found a maggot behind his eyeball. Urgh!!!!
1 maggot in the eye is surely a bummer, but try having 34 of them eating their way towards your brain! - http://www.torrentspy.com/comments.asp?mode=view&id=2987&pg=2 let that be a lesson to all you future pig farmers out there!
Thanks Darth, I needed that . . Was having a dream about "Black Beauty" and another about the poison apple from "Sleeping Beauty" (I was having a beautyful night's dream) thanks to your post, I won't have that dream tonight . . . (Lol) You have entirely too much time on your hands,
I have a phobia of sandpaper...God i hate it, It makes me feel like throwing up if i touch it. My girlfriend cant even file her nails without me having to leave the room. (I feel sick just thinking about it)
