not a bad deal. one problem:western digital sucks. If you want a harddrive to die when it runs hot buy this. If you want a real good harddrive buy a seagate. Trust me on this one I had two westerns hd go bad on me.

i've heard good and bad things about both western digital and maxtor. i'm getting a maxtor 160gb. everyone is going to have different experiences/opinions w/ the same product. that's just the way it goes.

Where are you people from MARS? Around here Western Digital is #1 and Maxtor is #2. I dont even know anyone with a Seagate HD cause they are cheap POS's! Ive had dual WD 250GB HDs on a RAID setup for about 2yrs now and havent even had a slight problem with either of them not to mention the WD 150GB HD running my OS. WD IS DA SHIZNIT SEAGATE IS NOT!

Go with the Western Digital - there number one with me - I'v owned one or two or three in ever puter I'v had sence early 80s and never had any trouble - we had Seagates at work, they were ok but seemed LOUD to me. Everones got there own opinion but with my experance, I will always go with the WD.

im using both wd's and seagates right now . i have no problems with wd . i did have a 200gig seagate fail about 3 months ago after 4 months of use . seagate went good on it and i have another one running now without problems so far . they both carry a 5 year warranty now so it doesnt bother me if they do fail . performance wise no other hard drive compares to the wd sata 10000 rpm raptor in a raid except for scsi . western digital makes great drives in my opinion .
