Trying to burn MP3 back up to some DVDs. The last couple of months, my burning success has deteriorated. Using Nero 6.6.0.16 with Office Depot DVDs. Getting these messages:
    ...Error write error (030C00)
    ...Power Calibration Area Error (037303)
...Illegal mode for this track (056400)

Is it my burner, the media? Which direction should I pursue?

    mickeyvee,
That looks like a blank media problem. Suggest you try Verbatim or Taiyo Yudens blank DVD's

pls post LAST section of your Nero log, which is in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log, but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar

You asked for the error log...here it is. I used new Verbatim media with these results. Is my burner going on me (with the power calibration thing going on?)

    mickeyvee,
Th results are still showing the problem is the blank disks. I use a Pioneer and Verbs and Ty's blank media it loves. Since your burner is an external I would change the external cables first to see if that helps. It could be the firewire or Usb connection or it also could be the cable connections to the board in the computer.

    mickeyvee,
I would as it would not hurt. If they can update the firmware, if possible, then have them do that to. Let us know how it goes.
