You call that proper hiphop ?
It looks more like a Ganstah Rap list to me...

You wanna talk hiphop, well then...
    What about Run DMC ?
    Gang starr ?
    Public Enemy ?
    Sniper ?
    Stetsasonic?
    The Sugarhill Gang ?
    Ultramagnetic MC'S ?
    Grandmaster Flash ?
    A Tribe Called Quest ?

Dan..., it IS proper hip hop, I guess everyone has there own opinions, but you can't beat those albums. Haven't got a problem with the people you listed, but for me & many others; those albums I listed are gold.

Illmatic is the hip hop bible and Paid In Full was pure genius, not that "Ganstah Rap" crap...

From Eric B & Rakims "Paid In Full":

    "I take 7 MC's put em in a line
And add 7 more brothas who think they can rhyme
Well, it'll take 7 more before I go for mine
And that's 21 MC's ate up at the same time"

^That was one of the most golden verses in hip hop ever, I can go on why I recommended the others, but without questions asked; you do not get much better than those.....if that's just "Gangstah Rap" I'd desperately like to know what proper hip hop is and where its been hiding from me for all these years? :p

But your entitled to your opinion, it just hit me as odd ...didn't even know you listened to hip hop :)

    EDIT

    Now listening to:

    Big L feat. Gangstarr & Jay-Z - Da Graveyard

Rav, you'd be surprised how much hiphop i have.
hell, you'd be surprised if you saw how much of it is in my skating playlist on my Zen *hiphop makes good skating music, just like hardcore and punk*.

As for why i said that, i consider NWA, Notorious B.I.G. and Wu-Tang to be more gansgtah rap than hiphop, because most of their raps are about life in the ghetto/slums, and the hardships of it, which is what, to me, is the definition of gangstah rap.
*as opposed to the "look at me being a gangster, i watched goodfellas and the godfather too often" gangster wannabe's like 50 cent and and the like* (this doesn't mean i don't like them, i just classify them differently)

But on with the music : Sick Of It All - Potential For A Fall

i've been spending days filling up my 120GB hard drive in it's USB2.0 enclosure, it's my MP3 drive (getting full, gonna have to buy a new hard drive soon!). Anyways, so i'm hearing a lot of new stuff, and stuff i'd bought over the years and either not played or not played much.

In addition to my previous post, Pearl Jam do seem to have lightened up, from this other live album anyways -

Thumbing my Way from cd1 of 'Live at Benaroya Hall'

My fine, cannabis smoking*points at sig* brother. Just delete the file before you try to open anything else on the drive. Unless you have already opened the file. The it has *probably* been released. I can't tell you if it can spread off the hard drive so I would advise running a scan.

I mean if one of the files i put on the external harddrive contains a virus, can the virus spread to the main harddrive?

    Can i contain it?

It would depend on virus...In my experience with a virus in systems with multiple drives they are usually contained on OS drive...not storage drive, unless thats were virus originated...there is always risk...

To reply to billybob's offtopic :
Virussed and worms are usually written in such a way that they go straight for the OS and it's registry, so no matter where the infection first occurs, unless you find it within a day of the original infection, it will spread like wild, and will probably severely damage your system *IF that is what it is designed to do, that is, otherwise it will probably just propagate itself to other computers, and your computer will act like a spam or DoS zombie*
