Here's a twist.... Cake ~ War Pigs (sabbath cover) http://youtube.com/watch?v=xyJMufGx7fo&feature=related
lol Loco Cakes a pretty good band actually. not a bad version of War Pigs either heres Gov't Mules version of War pigs http://youtube.com/watch?v=K5M47DBu6nA Warren Haynes is God!! and Allen Woody R.I.P very missed
BTW Scott this band was the support band for Gov't Mule when i saw them last month Grace Potter and the Nocturnals http://youtube.com/watch?v=yzPeTC7bH6E&feature=related plus the chick can play a Flying V gotta love that http://youtube.com/watch?v=9KDLKYE_d7U&feature=related I was very impressed with these guys/girl, excellent band
I actually saw Gov't Mule a few weeks after Woody's death when they opened for Ben Harper. It was just Warren and the drummer and they played an acoustic set and then Warren came out and jammed later with Ben. Eric Johnson ~ Cliffs of Dover http://youtube.com/watch?v=8_y_kft_3IU&feature=related I have Tones and Ah Via Musicom and unfortunately this is the only standout track that he has IMHO.
Cake does a pretty good job with War Pigs. So far, the best cover of that particular tune that i know of is done by Faith No More. Mike Patton kicks major ass on that one. @LOCOENG Cliffs of Dover is a pretty impressive tune by Mr. Johnson. I love that song. Personally i'm jamming out right now to "Snap Your Fingers Snap Your Neck" as covered by Demon Hunter.
did you guys dig Grace Potter and the Nocturnals ? i think there way cool, just love there sound. Grace has some great pipes
