Man I just noticed how depressing rock songs are these days. Here are some lyrics from MY favorite songs: I hate everything about you Why do I love you I hate everything about you Why do I love you No matter how hard I try You’re never satisfied This is not a home I think I’m better off alone You always disappear Even when you’re here This is not my home I think I’m better off alone Home, home, this house is not a Home, home, this house is not a home I've, got a southern belle too And ruby red shoes With a body of straw Are you sick of it all? There's a man made of tin With an oil can grin And I'm gonna get you And your little dog too She spreads, Her love; She burns me up. I can't, Let go, I can't get out. I've said, Enough, Enough by now. I can't let go; I can't get out. There's no one coming (there's no one coming) And there's no way out (and there's no way out) I've been falling (well I've been falling) And it's so far down
Yeah but I posted the lyrics from 5 different songs. Why aren't there happier songs? Good happy songs by Breaking Benjamin. I would like that.
Well I am sorry. I am content with life. I walk around with a smile because things just aren't bad enough to be sad.
I know this a little off topic, but i feel it neccessary to toss my two censt in here. I've been a singer/songwriter for a good chunk of my life. I've put out two cd's with one local band that i was with for five years and a solo album. Many of my songs lyrics are depressing or just seemingly negative in nature. It's not because i'm a negative person or that my outlook on life is negative. Music is therapy. I can deal with the things going on in my life through my songs. I can talk about the death of a long standing mentor, and how his passing affected me. I can talk about my ex-wife and the hell she put me through. I can deal with the issues that have transpired in my life, get them off my chest, and move on. I can't speak for all of these guys and their songs, but i'm willing to bet their music is also how they deal with thier own issues. Again, just my two cents from my own little world. seeing how this is about music i didn't want to make a new thread, but i was wondering if you know the title of this song. I am not sure of the words but i knida goes, lets let him sing o woo o ooh o lets sing it now o woo o ooh o. Kinda like that style and repeats itself, it kinda new give or take a few years. Thanks,
