Since we're on the topic, there was a time when I used to listen to rap more than I did rock. Not to worry though, that part of me is now dead. Fo sho' Sorry, had to do that. But I agree, well said. Currently listening to: Interpol - The Heinrich Maneuver.
Its not called ruining, I believe the more technically accurate term for it is 'pimping'. As in - "Hey, I'm here to pimp your ride!". Which roughly translates to, I'm going to slap some some florescent paint on it and grind on tires designed for a monster truck so you look like a 'pimp' when you drive to the office. A little sad really.
Rav, do you like Interpol? I saw them live and thought they had a few good tracks but maybe they sound better recorded ;-) Extreme Ways - Moby (Bourne Series OST)
I've only heard a few of their tracks so I can't really say, but that one song is pretty cool. Did you go to the reading festival? Ripdox, My friend keeps telling me to buy that album. They any good?
Currently listening to an edited version of Headstrong by Trapt in conjunction with the same track with specific frequencies boosted/cut to hear the instrumentals easier. Works good for trying to figure out how to play a song btw...
Kottonmouth Kings - Bump I listen to almost every kind of music including rap. Like religion music is personal, so listen to what you like. By listening to only one kind of music, you limit yourself, and your experiences, but hey, do what you like. Im on no mission to convert anyone to something they dont like, just making a statement. I used to hate rap, but having a stepson listen to it, got me into it. I go thru phases of music where i listen to old rock, then metal, then R&B, then rap... I think it has something to do with the voices in my head liking different kinds of music to go along with their different personalities.. Peace
I've not seen the film but I've heard the soundtrack and I quite agree. The old version of Extreme ways was MUCH better.
Eh? Currently listening to: Squarepusher - Do you know squarepusher? Lol Squarepusher went to my secondary school. That's not specifically why I listen to him though, he's a great artist.
