    Have you ever noticed though that just about the time we think maybe, just maybe gas prices might drop that there is another refinery explosion somewhere......sometimes I think it's just too coincindental....I think I paid 2.19$ in Albany, Oregon last week

    yes i suppose you are right about going further as us in NZ for holidays work and that it takes me 5 minutes to work where i live it's 2 min to the beach so we walk and for holidays it take about 2 to 3 hours driving mind you could allways take the ferry to one of the islands in the gulf from Auckland...

    yeah i was telling the wife about that, we all live within a mile or so of each other and we hook up on a forum from finland with members from all over the globe. Kinda creepy really lol.

    there was a nasty storm over the refinary pump things, and they had to close shop, so to speak. Thus raising thier prices to compensate the loss. even though mobil gas has had a 6 billion dollar proffit in the last year... go figure...

    it was 2.55 yesterday, today it's 2.43. Sucks that I filled up yesterday :(

    Opposite here in the DC metro area - it was say around $2.37 this morning - this afternoon it's now $2.46 and rising.

    hmmm.....interesting. I always thought that the fluxuations were basically the same throughout the country. Like one area could be $2.00 and another $2.50 but when they went up they went up everywhere, know what I'm saying? Oh well, I guess that's not the case.

    Most of the time it's cheaper if I cross the river to the sister city. Only like 3 miles away but gas is usualy .10 cheaper on average. If i go to the boonies it's .15-.20 sometimes.

    have you ever noticed how when the media starts hyping up how much gas is going to go up, then lo and behold the prices get raised at the stations, amazing....

    Yeah they all rasie it on a whim ,even if nothing happen but they think it might is an excuse to hike the price its complete BS .watch it will drop back down a little after the storm in FL. passes
