Yeah the new mobo (p5ld2) is pci-e, as i can't use agp on a pci-e board i have to use a normal pci card card so i will be able to boot up, it's only for about 4 weeks till i save up for a pci-e gfx card.

just in case you wondering why don't i use my current PC till i can afford a pci-e card, I've sold it and it's going sometime next week.

Hi everyone. If anyone here wants a free gfx card I have one that is just gathering dust. It's an AGP BFG 5500 FX OC 256 MB. It's not bad to be honest and it will run HL2 and doom 3 on medium. Just cover the shipping from UK and it's yours.

It's pretty light so shouldn't any more than £10 gbp. Not sure what that is in Aus dollars though.

i had 128 mb with xp home, it ran fine for a while but then got really sluggish. now i have 384 mb, that was a BIG improvement. i think that is enough, depending on what you do on the machine.

ooo, this is my 1500th post!
