The responses to this request are great in their level of detail...can any of you help me? I want to purchase a pc and attendant componets/bells/whistles/stuff in order to to the following
Run Windows, adobe premiere pro for video editing/production; adobe photo shop, scan slides, burn dvds, scan text and pictures. I want a good size monitor with good resolution and I am also going to link to a nearby flatscreen. I plan to use multiple drives to add memory and capacity to do stuff.

I saw a set up similar to what I want and that person, who said he had a terabyte of memorey had a Sony computer with extra drives. Someone else told me I might be wiser to buty Dell components because the service is good and in Sony I would only be paying for the name. But I am not sure where to start in terms of ordering all I will need.

I don't want to piecemeal this. To the extent possible I want to purchase what I need up front.

If you can help, have mercy on someone over 50 and speak in the plainest terms.

    thanks

@capoite - think you meant a gigabyte of memory, not a terabyte :)

only messing, the most any of my servers at work have is 16GB memory, and they're most definitely not Windows/Intel machines.

no actually he said terabyte...maybe he meant when he added all the memory on his extra drives...the guy is an Aussie but I think he knows what he is doing...we were on vacation and stupidly I didn't write down what he had exactly.
