    Hi All,

I live in Lismore Co. Waterford. I have a basic package but I'm not sure if this is Ch**us or NTL (was Ch**us originally).

Also can anyone recommend a box to buy.

    Any help appreciated.

Ring and ask what type of service is provided or ask a neighbour.

Thanks for the help. I will call them on Monday and find out.
Will let you know what info I get.
Just didn't want them getting suspicious. Paranoid, I know.

If it was ch*rus there is still exch*rus equipment in use.
The question is not which name has the current firm. The question is which broadcast equipment is in use in a region.
UPC didn't change much after buying n*l and ch*rus.
The next important question is true cable or mmds.

Called provider this morning and I was suprised to find that the service is MMDS.
Ok so the signal is received into the town on MMDS but is transmitted customers over a cable. Can anyone recommend a box?

If you got a pace box its n*l mmds. If you got a sagem box as subscriber box check the sticker underneath of the box.

Checked the box and its a sagem ITD60. A friend gave me a Eurovox EX5000 to try out. Does anyone know if this will work for me?

    Thanks.

ITD means ch*rus mmds and you need a box with dvb-t tuner. Eurovox tx, box-t, dreambox 500T and so on.
