Brobear all plays well on pc even when I was burning at 16x. The stand alone player I am using is a Samsung DVD-P241, progressive scan, plays DVD,CD,MP3,DVD-R playback.
I have used DVD Decrypter then DVD Shrink 3.2 for encoding then burn with DVD Decryter same problem occurs. I will try oher suggestions and let you know the out come.

That lends support to the suggestion you get a new player. Sounds like you need to figure out if it's the backup system or the player. There's a couple things you may want to do. Try playing your burned DVD on another standalone player. Be sure it's been playing backups okay. Does the burned DVD play okay on your PC's DVD drive? Try a good backup that was made on another PC. Does it play okay on your standalone player?

Brobear I tried something a little more simpler, first I turned off my modem so as not to be connected to the internet. Then I disabled Norton Antivirus. Ran movie saved on hard drive back through DVD Shrink, burned with DVD Decrypter: perfect copy no pixelation no freezing.

Okay, sounds like you solved the problem. Seems to go back to those compression errors mentioned before. The software you used is doing a better job of encoding the movie. Did you use quality settings in Shrink or just run it without them. The deep analysis and AEC do a good job.
