I have an xvid movie and can't view it on tv having burned it to a dvd using nero. What could I be doing wrong. I am burning it as a nero data file and it is not recognised? My player supports both divx/xvid yet it wont play them

I never made an DivX/Xvid(AVI) DVD, sorry. Has anyone a suggestion?
If no one helps us, you could make a (cpule of) VCD reading the trick in http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/110106 . But it's a pity (80' of movie on a 80' CD-R). But the quality is comparable, if TMPGenc's settings are well made.
