Can i convert asf or wmv files with Divx? I have a flash drive that contains these files and the length is over 60 hours. Can i use to transfer to a dvd to play on dvd player or computer or laptop?

    Thanks.

I can only add that DIVX is a crippled version of MPEG-4 ASP in that it doesn't fully support features like QPel and GMC. This makes compressing and playback less computationally intensive and allows for playback on cheap DIVX DVD players that are in the $35 range... yes they play regular DVDs too. XVID is also a version of MPEG-4 ASP but supports QPel and GMC... if you want.

One problem I have about the official DIVX codec is that it seems to soften the video too much which is why I was happy to find an ancient version of OpenDIVX. See my post in this forum.
