sorry if the title is naff but it took me 5 minutes to come up with that, the rest were essay length.

i am looking to buy something which will store audio files and movie files, will have playback capability.( i curently use a creative zen for my audio files but long-ago passed the 32 GB amount)

    it must have
    - wide audio compatibility
    - ability to play random tracks
    - playlist function
    - connectivity to line-in function on hi-fi
    - be divx/avi compatible
    - have connectivity to digital tv.

a bonus, but not essential at this stage would be
    - wireless function
    - HD compatibility and connectivity
    - Blu ray compatibility and connectivity

i was looking for a large storage capacity but the only thing i have been able to come up with is a Envizage 1000GB 1TB Cyclone External Hard Drive Multi media Player. however i cannot find many reviews.

any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

interesting thought, but i can see the kids wanting to use it for other things. also to get one with a large enough hard drive is likely to go beyond my budget. the other thing is that its size would be a problem.

    thanks
