What is the best dvd burner to purchase for about 3-4 hundred $? I read the other post but the pioneer seems to be a little slow.

The Pioneer seems to be a little slow??? The Pioneer's are most certainly the best DVD Writers available and they aren't expensive. You might say, Pioneer were the pioneers (lol) of the home DVD recording formats.

I personally have a DVR105 and love it to bits. The DVR106 is exactly the same except it records +R as well, which might be handy for the Xbox cuz i heard somewhere it prefered +R. You can get the DVR106 from http://www.bigpockets.co.uk
