With the gamecube scene heating up now, I wuz wondering what do you guys think is the best solution now? Viper? qoob? cobra? pso? sd load? something else? what about price? sd load could be super cheap if you already have some of the stuff. Qoob sounds like a full solution. The ultimate feature would be the HD addon. This maybe could be done with viper or qoob with usb. Thanks guys!!
Ize: I'm very new to all this.. I don't understand how those two things work (PSo and GCOS)? what they do? how do I install it into my GameCube? Thanks PS: Please write in a simple English, I'm Colombian
PSO is a game. And GCOS is a program that you stream to Gamecube to play backup games. And how to do it: Do this: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/61273 Then send GCOS.dol to Gamecube. That's it!
Quezacotl: where can I get GCOS? I really need it, but I need a place where to download it.. thanks if you can help me
you need a PC with a Ethernet port (network card), a Gamecube with a BBA (Broad Band adaptor) Phantasy star Online 1&2 (Yes it's one game; not 3, not 1&2plus) GCOS 1.4, a memory card ( i use 2 elcheapo for my sega network info and one for my saved games) and a crossover cable. Read the instructions posted above, use the website posted above for everything you need (great Job on the site BTW) If your going to make backups of the Games you'll need either a Gamebit, or a Bic Crystal pen and a lighter to take the case off.
