My friends and I want to make a video game, yet have never coded before.
We have been looking at several programs like DarkBASIC, Visual Basic, Java, and C, and heard that Microsoft Visual C++ is the best. We want to make a 3D game with good graphics and the avalibility to create whatever we want. HELP?

Visual C++ would be the best however it would be an extremely steep learning curve if you have never programmed before. For beginning games programming Dark Basic would probably be your best bet. The syntax of Basic is pretty easy to learn and DB lets you do stuff with a few lines that would take a few pages of C++ code. Blitz Basic is another Basic variant that is geared towards game progamming.
