Hey everyone, I know I give away as the new guy to softmodding by asking these ostensibly stupid question, but hey my motto is "if you dont try you've lost even before you've began" (mmm that motto is plagirized ) 1) What memory device is the tutorial talking about? Is there a USB memory stick that'll plug into Xbox? 2) So once I get that, what zip file is the tutorial talking about transferring to the memory device? If I don't have Action Replay (I dont even know what this is) or Mega X-Key (I'm assuming it's a PC based game), can I get the zipped file from someone which then I can transfer onto the memory device? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks
@mayorq Ok action replay is the program for the PC as well as the memory unit that plugs into your usb port on your PC. It allows you to use a standard xbox memory card to copy over save games from the pc (through action replay) Once you have that you just have to get an exploit (the one i used is Krazyies Mech Installer which is great for its unistall features and its nkpatcher) Once that zip file is copied over to the mem card you copy it to your xbox hdd. then open the game, run the file, BACKUP YOUR EEPROM, and softmod!
