Hey, I didn't know exactly which topic this goes under, so I'm sorry if I didn't pick the right one. I'm heading off to college in the fall as an architecture major and I was wondering what is the BEST laptop I can get for $2,400 or under. I need a large screen as well as a lot of memory. As far as other computer stuff goes, I'm pretty much retarded on that aspect of things, so any help is appreciated. I'm sort of looking at Sony Vaio's right now, but if I can find something better for $2,400 or cheaper than I'm all for it. Thanks in advance.

I would suggest go with a Toshiba Notebook or Acer. But if you choose an Acer do not choose the travelmate. That is crappy.

    Those two brands are reliable.
