lol - man, if i had that tower computer i would love it. I don't think i would be too upset about hard drives since there are plenty at 10,00RPM :-D

The graphics card costs about £1000 i think and the memory is amazing, as are two Xeon 3+GHz Processors. Feck it would probably fly

yes i noticed the graphics cards however your UT2K3 performance wouldnt be up to par with something like the top end Radeon/GeForce simply because they require proprietory drivers and as such focus entirely on pixel precision (simply because the cards are designed for CAD type work rather than FPS). A moot point but a point nonetheless.

Yeah they are fast but what happens when you run out of HDD space? :p

The graphics cards 256MB memory should sort that problem out i guess. I could always sell it and get a 256MB ATI Radeon 9800 Pro or something i suppose. When i run out of hard drives i will probably throw the computer at somebody and cry. Nah, not really. I have 160GB HDD (2 drives) and i only ever use up around 30GB. Except when i rip a load of DVD's onto the computer, but they usually get burned the same day :-D

Dude thats crazy, why do you need to overclock a Pentium 3.2 Already that is amazingly fast!

I do like the Hard disks, why didn`t you go for the 10krpm Scsi models with that setup or the 500GB Fireware dives?

I'm well impressed but it is essentially a waste of money. I'd rather wait 6 months and pay a lot less and wait for software to catch up also.. You must be loaded dude!

Since I never get rid of computers/components until they die or I put them in a friend's machine, I have several computers. Besides that I'm self employed as a network consultant and my customer's occasionally give me old machines just so they can get rid of them.

    Main PC
    CPU: P4 2.4GHz
    RAM: 768MB PC2100
    HD1: 80GB Seagate Barracuda ATA V

    *HD2: 40GB Western Digital Protege
    HD3: 40GB Western Digital Caviar
    HD4: 40GB Western Digital Caviar

*This drive is removable and I also have a 30GB drive I only use for Ghost images

    Laptop 1
    CPU: Celeron 1.7GHz
    RAM: 256MB PC2100
    HD: 30GB

    Laptop 2 (for Wife)
    CPU: P3 600MHz
    RAM: 128MB PC100

WOW your print server is better than my other computer. THere is a lot of power in the old Pentium models. My P200MMX is still pushing hard.

Yeah, it's a great computer. When I was teaching UNIX classes I used it in class as a server until the backlight on the display burned out. It was a good excuse to set up a print server, and I'm still impressed by how well it runs Windows 2000.
