going to the dollar store,as i found a dollar, now i can buy food for a week..for me and my bride..might even buy the dog a couple of steaks.. later ye all....
@auslander...near as I can tell, there is nothing whatsoever weird about your moral code and I'm sure its true that you'd give the shirt of your back for your loved ones. It's how familes should be though, because of my job, I see constant reminders of how lucky I am to have the family that I have. In a sense, it was that sort of thing which sent me to new england last week. My dad sent me $20.00 .. he got it into his head that maybe I couldn't afford a visit home LOL! (...my dad, by the way, is older than god!)
LOL, you know what that made me think of? okay, not so funny, but i got a picture in my head of god being born and your dad being the doctor that smacked him on the hind end.
just made a good ol' visit to the local best buy and compusa. all i could think of possibly getting was maybe a real cheapo speaker system. i don't really need it for anything real time, just listening to music on moderate volume levels. my room is like 12X12 so I could have a speaker on each corner and then center across from my bed? and yes, the cheapo speakers should be good enough to replace my crap speakers hooked up to my laptop.
that setup sounds pretty good to me. lol, my sound system in my dorm here was $40, and it out-thumps all i hear.
i dont wanna spend unnecessary money (yes i care). i hope u dont mind me asking, what model number and company it is. don't bother with the model number if it wastes time. thanks a bunch!
found it! yeah, okay, they look cheap and they don't seem too powerful, but for what they are, they sound really good.
thanks for the link and all the suggestions, but....here's what i got: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16882641012 i have speakers all around my room, its pretty sweet. though, it would be good one day if i got a tv for the dvd player, which also is sweet at playing divx!! yay!
god, sometimes i wish i had the 11 speakers + sub that i had in my bedroom back home...but the echo effect created here helps.
to an extent; i'm genetically destined to lose both my eyesight and hearing, so as long as i have them i watch the best-encoded films i can and listen to the best quality audio.
was confused about that post ireland i frankly could care less about sound quality. it should be decent, but as long as it works well im all thumbs.
